Office Timesheets is available in two versions: hosted (Office Timesheets On Demand) and self-installed (Office Timesheets). The application versions offer no difference in end-user features and functions; the decision to implement which version is ultimately up to your organization.

Office Timesheets On Demand

If you choose the hosted version of Office Timesheets, you will be billed monthly for each license purchased and maintenance is included in the monthly charge. The first time a purchase is made for Office Timesheets On Demand, the amount charged is pro-rated for the first month. Every month following, licenses are pre-paid for the entire month. There is no installation involved in the setup of the application; simply log into your Office Timesheets database and begin setup. Everything entered and recorded into your Office Timesheets database is hosted on our servers, which are secured, completely guaranteed, and monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Office Timesheets On Demand also offers the ability to decrease licenses at any time, while the self-installed version does not. Office Timesheets On Demand is most beneficial for smaller organizations that do not have the server capacity or availability to install and hold their database information.

Office Timesheets

For larger organizations with the appropriate server availability and IT staff, the self-installed version of Office Timesheets is a more practical solution. Office Timesheets is paid for per license for a one-time fee. This means that Office Timesheets can be more cost-effective as opposed to Office Timesheets On Demand. Also, Office Timesheets self-installed databases are hosted on your own servers so you always have complete control over them at all times. Office Timesheets users can also integrate Office Timesheets with their Windows Active Directory, which is a feature that Office Timesheets On Demand does not include. However, because the license fees are one-time only, users cannot decrease their license count (you may only increase your number of licenses). Also, maintenance is not included in the purchase price, and upgrades must be done manually by the customer.
